National Garden Railway Convention in Phoenix, Arizona, USA
In the USA, an annual exhibition takes place where all garden railway enthusiasts gatther - The National Garden Railway Convention. This was the 24th event of its type and this year was held in Phoenix, Arizona.
From the 29th of April until 4th of May 2008, garden railway friends met in the San Marcos Resort Hotel in Chandler, a modern quarter of Phoenix, Arizona. At the Convention, dealers were in attendance along with the most important suppliers of locomotives, rolling stock and accessories for the large G scale. PIKO were represented by their USA importer LGB of America. The interesting new G models from PIKO and the readily available and highly thought of PIKO G track assortment enabled LGB of America to concentrate on the promotion of these PIKO models.
Those at the fair were able to find out about the PIKO G scale products in detail, including the new PIKO G track assortment as well as the PIKO G Locomotives and rolling stock.
Especially interesting at Railway Conventions in the USA is that many G scale layouts are on display at this exhibition for people to see. This meant that Ortrun D. Wilfer and Mr. Dr. René F. Wilfer were able to see many layouts and lead many technical discussions.
At PIKO, we place much importance on experiencing our product, we are pleased to have been represented at this show and hope that we have provided a lot of new ideas for Garden Railway modellers.
In 2009, the 25th National Garden Railway Convention will be held in Denver, Colorado between the 4th and 12th of July.
