March 12th
through 15th brought a record attendance to the last „Faszination Modellbau“
show at the Sinsheim expo centre.Shortly after the International Toy Fair during February in Nuremberg, many PIKO fans used the
opportunity to visit our show booth and learn more about the extensive
selection of PIKO new products in various scales. The interest in our garden railway (G-Scale)
program was especially strong.Here,
more than anything, the wine-red BR218 diesel, the VT98/VS98 railbus, and the
G-Scale starter set were the centre of attention. The PIKO G-Track system, whose simple and
modern geometry was shown in clear charts, was also of great interest to the
visitors.With spring - and the
beginning of the garden railway season - just around the corner, many garden
railway fans learned from our expo team members about the advantages of the
PIKO G-Track system.
On the
model train layout and in the display cases, visitors could see and experience
some H0-Scale 2009 new products which had already been delivered to the
market.For fans of TT-Scale, the BR 151
locomotive was a highlight.The newly-tooled
model will be delivered to retailers shortly after this show.
Many PIKO
fans came to the booth and shared their enthusiastic anticipation of the PIKO
Open House Day on June 20th in Sonneberg. As they expressed to our show team members Mrs. Matthäi and Mr.
Gerritschen, little can keep them from coming to Sonneberg for this great
event.
Sonneberg,

The PIKO
show team with Mrs. Martina Matthäi and Mr. Stefan Gerritschen
answered the
questions of many PIKO fans in Sinsheim.PIKO trainee
Anne-Kathrin Leimert found the happenings at the show booth
very interesting.
Through
excellent cooperation between PIKO and the MEC Hildesheim
(Hildesheim model train club), PIKO-G models accented
the club’s modular
layout and made it a spectator magnet in the model railway
exhibit hall.
