Attentive PIKO fans will no doubt remember the introduction to this year's PIKO novelty video on YouTube - Dr Rene F. Wilfer in the driver's cab of a BR 248 of the WFL. For all those who no longer remember or - as unlikely as it sounds - have not yet seen the video, here is the direct link once again:
In the driver's cab of this special locomotive developed by Siemens, Dr Wilfer, managing partner of PIKO Spielwaren GmbH, proudly presented the first sample of the H0 model of the so-called ‘Siemens Vectron Dual Mode’ announced for 2024. Based on this special start to the PIKO model railway year, we were delighted to continue our cooperation with WFL. Since the beginning of April, the 248 066 can now be found on the tracks with a very special livery.
