21.09.2020 Press Release: PIKO secures apprenticeships

The Corona crisis is currently determining social and economic life in Germany and has changed the lives of us all to some extent.

Especially in these challenging times, it is all the more important to give young people a perspective for their professional future by maintaining existing apprenticeships and creating new ones.

This year, two new apprentices will start their career at PIKO Spielwaren GmbH as industrial clerks and process mechanics for plastics and rubber technology - in addition to the existing apprenticeships.

Thus, PIKO is currently training 8 young people (apprenticeship quota approx. 5%) as skilled workers or industrial clerks over all age groups. Thus, 2 industrial mechanics, 2 process mechanics, 1 toolmaker and 3 industrial clerks are preparing for their future careers. And PIKO has so far offered almost all trainees a secure job after successfully completing their exams. Many of the former apprentices are already working in leading positions at PIKO.

For PIKO, the creation and maintenance of apprenticeship training positions is both an obligation and a responsibility towards young people and at the same time an investment in the future, emphasized Dr. René F. Wilfer, Managing Director of PIKO Spielwaren GmbH. After Corona, well-trained employees will also be of particular importance.

The company continues to focus on the continuous qualification and promotion of young professionals and wishes all trainees a good start to the new training year and every success in their training!

The Technical Director, Mr. Günther Heilmann, and Dr. René F. Wilfer welcome the trainees and their instructors at the beginning of the new training year
