Some information about role model:
In the early 1990s, a need for modern three-phase AC locomotives for freight transport became apparent. This resulted in a DB tender for the development of such a vehicle in 1993. The Siemens/Krauss-Maffei consortium was able to win the tender and, based on the experience gained with the 127 001-6 test vehicle, the prototype 152 001-4 was built by 1995. 152 001-4. Of the 195 units subsequently ordered, DB AG only called off 170 units by 2001 and assigned all locomotives to the Nuremberg marshalling yard when they entered service. From here, the vehicles were and are used in front of goods trains throughout Germany, with a focus on transport in the hinterland of the Port of Hamburg - starting from the Maschen marshalling yard. In addition to the locomotives for DB AG, Siemens also produced two machines under the designation ES64F for its own leasing company ‘Dispolok’. These locomotives were later sold to the railway company ITL and are currently in service for Captrain in the distinctive neon green livery.
